Fully Functional!

I am very happy to announce that we DO have our credit card machine online, and we are processing orders ALMOST normally. 

Why do I say ALMOST? 

We are working with limited space at the moment.  Due to some rebuilding issues going on in our office due to the hurricane we are all working in a little closer quarters.  Our office, warehouse, shaping, lacing, sewing, etc has all been consolidated into one space, mainly our warehouse.  We are functioning just fine at the moment but space is an issue, especially when we are due to receive some new hats in from Guatemala!

Fax is up, now we need help with credit cards!

I got the fax machine up and running today.

I had tried to get the credit card terminal up yesterday, but eventually it went blank and started beeping.  My credit card processor told me it probably got hit with a power surge and was ruined.  Fortunately, I had another machine waiting in reserve for just this sort of thing.  It was a refurbished machine - Hypercom T7P - I bought in March or April of this year when I was told my old machine didn't have enough memory for the new programs.

Well, the same thing happened with the second machine.  So, my CC processor told me I should get a new terminal.  Sounds kind of fishy to me.  Two terminals going bad in exactly the same way, one of them never used?

My processor wanted $950.00 for a terminal that can be bought new on ebay for $340.00.  I ordered the one from ebay.  Hopefully we'll have that one up and running early next week.

I sure would like to find a credit card processor that I could trust.  Know anyone?
