"My Hats Make Your Head Feel Good" says Don Livingston

Don Livingston of Longhorn Hatters in San Antonio sent us this beautiful picture and had this to say:

Gorgeous%20Wranglerette

Ryleigh Milhorn - "A LITTLE WRANGLER " in her Palm Leaf   As a Custom Hat Designer I find that most people have never worn hats. I found that in order to get one on their head, it has to be fun and unique experience.

As an incentive, every person who buys one of my hats whether it be a Palm Leaf or felt - no matter what age, ethnic background,  or profession, is made to feel special, like a star.

Their heads are measured, a picture is taken, they get Honorary Texan, Yellow Rose of Texas, or Little Wrangler Certificate, information about how the hat was made, important facts about hats and a ‘Texas Tall Tale,’ featuring the hat they purchased, plus a WANTED POSTER. All of this is personally mailed to customers with a Thank You letter, as well as a thank you via Email.

Living up to the slogan: 'My hats make your head feel good’ takes a little work', but it’s worth it."

Luckenbach Celebrates Tony Wilson's 50th

I drove up to Luckenbach last Saturday for Tony Wilson's 50th birthday party.  Tony's been selling Guatemalan palm-leaf hats since I was at Pueblo to People, in the early 90's.  He has been a main stay at Luckenbach for many years where he now has a building all to himself and his hats - Snail Creek Hats. It was also a SunBody Hats celebra- Tony Wilson with a 22 year old palm-leaf hat he bought on a trip to Guatemala. Here's Tony in a 22-year-old palm-leaf hat he bought on a trip to Guatemala.

tion, with almost every hat being a SunBody. They have a saying "Everybody's Somebody in Luckenbach." But they might as well say "Everybody's SunBody in Luckenbach."

Hundreds of people turned out for Tony. At one point it looked like about 300 people were there. But they came and went from noon until midnight.  Tony was the one who first asked us to make the 5" brim hats as well as the palm leaf ball cap, and the just arrived top hat.IMG_9044

Little Rascal

We just received this picture and letter from Jim Green, of Tuscaloosa, Alabama:

Jim_Green Dear SunBody,

Please find enclosed a picture of me in My SunBody, relaxing on my porch with my "best friend" (Little Rascal), and enjoying a good cup of strong coffee.

Little Rascal has been gone now for a little more than a year, but I am still able to enjoy my SunBody hat.  In fact, I have 5, and to me they are the most comfortable hat of any that I have ever had (and that is many)!

It is beginning to warm up, so for me it is certainly time to get the SunBody on and enjoy the weather.

Best Wishes,
Jimmy Green,

This Long-Rider Know A Good Hat When She Sees It!

This year we are VERY happy to be sponsoring Ms. Bernice Ende who is a Long Trail Rider.  She is about to head out for a 2-1/2 year trek across our great country.  Bernice has worn her SunBody Hat for YEARS, in fact we are very excited to see that in almost all of her pictures she is wearing our 6" low crown gus!

Bernice-ende

Please take a moment to take a look at Bernice's website.  She has a wonderful story, and it's very much worth the read.  Who knows, maybe she'll be heading though your neck of the woods and you can wish her well.

You can find Bernice's website at:  http://www.endeofthetrail.com

Bernice had this to say about our hats:

"Where did you get that hat?"

It's one of the most frequently asked questions I hear.

Understandably so, as the Sunbody Hats are indeed striking.  I wear a 6-inch Gus with a low crown and a stampede string.  It is one of the many Classic Old West hats that Sunbody offers.  My 6-inch Gus offers much needed protection from the sun, holds up to relentless wind, keeps the rain off my back and shoulders, all the while continuing to look great!

I prefer a good palm hat to a felt hat as they are cooler and will hold up to rain and wind much better.  As a long rider, a hat is an intregal part of my attire.  Although this is the first year Sunbody has sponsored one of my rides, it will be the fourth year I have ridden with a Sunbody Hat on my head.  I am deligted to finally have them on the website."

Best of luck Bernice, have a fun and safe ride!
